Vice President, Product Engineering - Audit

As the Vice President of Product Engineering for the Audit Division, you will lead the engineering strategy and execution for Thomson Reuters Audit product suite. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of our software products, ensuring that they meet the high standards of quality, reliability, and performance that our customers expect. You will work closely with product management, design, service management, go to market teams, and other stakeholders to drive innovation and deliver exceptional products to the market.


About the Role

In this opportunity as Vice President, Product Engineering - Audit, you will:

  • Lead the product engineering team for the audit portfolio, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and customer focus.

  • Collaborate with product to define product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market needs.

  • Oversee the complete software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

  • Implement best practices for software engineering, including agile methodology, continuous integration, and DevOps.

  • Drive technological innovation and stay abreast of industry trends to ensure our products remain competitive.

  • Manage budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation effectively to deliver on product commitments.

  • Establish and monitor performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement in process and output.

  • Engage with key customers and stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure our products exceed market expectations.

  • Participate in executive leadership meetings, contributing to overall business strategy and decision-making.

  • Ensure critical technical debt is being prioritized and addressed in a timely manner.

  • Ensure teams are adhering to Thomson Reuters Standards and best practices.


About You

You're a fit for the role of Vice President, Product Engineering - Audit if your background includes:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in software engineering with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of managing successful engineering teams and delivering high-quality software products.

  • Experience with cloud technologies

  • Experience with modernization of a legacy estate

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries

  • Mentor and develop a high-performing engineering team, ensuring there is a strong succession plan in place.
