Typical Day in the Life

A typical day as a Business Credits & Incentives Senior Associate might include the following:

    Prepares and/or reviews specialty tax credit calculations and related tax credit forms by required deadlines.
  • Assists the National Tax Office (NTO) team on various projects.
  • Works with clients to ensure relevant tax credit-related information is gathered so that an accurate tax return can be prepared.
  • Reviews the tax position of clients from various angles to ensure the maximum benefit is applied.
  • Attends professional development and training seminars on a regular basis.
  • Interacts effectively with all levels of staff, clients, and other external business contacts.
  • Mentors and trains less experienced NTO staff
  • Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.
  • Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.

Who You Are

  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or J.D.
  • You have 2+ years of experience in public accounting tax work.
  • You have a valid Certified Public Accountant license preferred.
  • You have extensive knowledge of tax accounting principles, IRS regulations, and tax credits and incentives issues.
  • You are skilled in networking and developing business.
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to evaluate and articulate complex information.
  • You can work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
  • You establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
  • You are proficient with computers, Microsoft Office and related programs.

Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.

Benefits and Compensation

Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.

Salary Range: $70,000-$110,000

Beyond base salary, Eide Bailly provides benefits such as: generous paid time off, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) profit sharing, life and disability insurance, lifestyle spending account, certification incentives, education assistance, and a referral program.
