Overview

As the MES Lead, you will be at the forefront of deploying, integrating, and managing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) solutions within the manufacturing environment. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic vision to ensure the seamless integration of MES solutions such as Aveva, Sepasoft, and Plex, with existing manufacturing systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including automation, IT, and plant operations, to drive the success of MES implementations and ongoing management.


Responsibilities

  • MES Deployment: Lead the deployment and integration of MES software solutions, ensuring customization and compatibility with existing systems.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with automation teams, vendors, IT personnel, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth deployments and minimize production disruptions.
  • System Support & Optimization: Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, system upgrades, and performance tuning to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
  • Process Improvement: Work closely with manufacturing engineers and plant operations to leverage MES for process improvements and automation.
  • Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure MES implementations adhere to regulatory standards, industry best practices, and address safety concerns effectively.
  • Leadership & Communication: Lead MES team members and maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates and resolutions.

Qualifications

  • Education: A two- or four-year degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in implementing and supporting MES systems in a manufacturing environment, with proficiency in Aveva, Sepasoft, and Plex solutions.
  • Skills: Demonstrated leadership capabilities, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of industry standards and regulations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Understanding of database management, SQL, and data integration techniques.

Travel requirements: Some travel is expected with this position, up to 20%.
