Job Description

Overview: Work with a highly engaged and fun team to develop a variety of data analytics, ETL and data modelling to support both on premise data products and TTX's enterprise cloud platform migration.
Duration: One-year, part-time internship. ~15-20 hours/wk. during school and ~30 hours/wk. during summer.

Responsibilities may include the following:

ETL and Data Movement

• Use development tools such as SSIS or Azure Synapse Pipelines to create data flows
• Understand complex ETL processes in order to help refine, re-develop, or document them.
• Work with Data Engineers to move data through a cloud data lake architecture.
• Contribute to Data Governance through the use of master data management tools.

Business Intelligence Development

• Develop reporting in BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI to support all business areas.
• Use BI tools to audit and analyze logs, data quality and dataset performance.
• Contribute to the migration of existing reports in new technologies.

Business Analysis Skills

• Strong communication and writing skills to engage with business customers to understand and define requirements
• The ability to work both independently with little direction, and as part of a larger team as needed.
• Training and support to enable self-service analytics for internal customers.

Qualifications

• Major(s): Decision Sciences, Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or related majors
• Year in school: Master's candidate strongly preferred
• Software: SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI and any ETL tools.

Desired Qualities

• Strong technical and analytical skills & desire to learn new technologies
• Experience in data wrangling and troubleshooting problems
• Customer service perspective and a good team player
